Dr. Dr. John Heiker, project leader of the CRC project C7 at the CRC 1052, completed his habilitation at the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Leipzig and received the venia legendi in the field of biochemistry /molecular biology. The subject of his habilitation thesis was “Structure and Function of SerpinA12 (Vaspin) – its Relevance in Obesity and Type-2-Diabetes.”
