C7 - Molekulare Mechanismen der Vaspin-KLK7 Achse bei Adipositas und Diabetes

Projekt C7 untersucht die Funktion und das Zusammenspiel vom Serpin Vaspin und seinen Zielproteasen in Entzündung, Insulinresistenz und Stoffwechsel des Fettgewebes. Mit der Identifikation von Zielproteasen wie KLK7, Cofaktoren und kürzlich eines Fettzell-Oberflächenrezeptors konnten wir die Rolle von Vaspin und KLK7 als Gegenspieler in Adipositas-induzierter Fettgewebsdysfunktion sowie Vaspin als autokriner Regulator der BAT Thermogenese aufklären.
